He joins us today to talk about how we can use neuroscience to bring our business to the next level. We’ve talked about using neuroscience in previous shows – most recently when we spoke with Susan Weinschenk on episode 29 where she told us how to use neuroscience to get your browsers to click on your website where you want them to click.
Today, we’re taking a more internal approach and looking at how we can take our performance to the next level by understanding and applying neuroscience.
Dr. Pillay covers two techniques – one technique to get the thinking and the action part of our brain to turn on and stay on so we can accomplish our goals. Next, he shows us how we can become more solution focused and therefore find the solutions to our problems.
Hey everyone, we’re back from break and ready to kick off 2015 – as I hope you all are as well. If you’re past of the Clearly Influential Community, you likely already know, but for those of you who haven’t yet signed up, I’ll fill you in here as well – I’ve put together a 5-part series that will really help you just smash your 2015 business goals. I took some interviews from this past year that I think will really help you do that.
Today – we’re still sticking with this new year, new you kind of theme. We’re talking with Joleene Moody about discovering your passion and figuring out how to actually make money by pursuing it. If you’ve started 2015 feeling like, eh, I’m not really where I’m supposed to be, Joleene is going to help.
Joleene Moody understands all to well what it’s like to change careers, take big risks, and drive blindly into the unknown. She spent 10 years as a television reporter and anchor before she realized it wasn’t where she was meant to be. When it got to the point where she couldn’t live another day merely existing, she boldly stepped out of her comfort zone and financial safety net to follow the dreams and passions within her. Today she is a published author, passion shift coach and speaker, guiding writers, artists and entertainers to a place within where they can uncover and discover who and what they are truly meant to be and do, while profiting handsomely from their deepest desires.
Hey everyone – we’re quickly approaching the holidays and the new year and looking forward to building our business in 2015. I’ve pulled back on the production schedule over the holiday season, but I just had to release this episode because my friend Steve Daar has just released a book that I was lucky enough to get a chance to read – and I want to make sure that you get it too before we jump into the new year. I think if you’re in the middle of figuring out a marketing plan for the new year, or if you’re wondering where you should focus your time or resources, this interview is really going to help.
The book is all about focusing on the most important things that will give you the biggest results when it comes to making a profit.
Today’s interview is with the founder of Conversion for Good, a marketing agency that serves businesses and non-profit organizations that have a mission.
After learning from multiple early entrepreneurial failures, investing thousands of hours and managing over $1.3 million in online advertising spend for Fortune 500 level businesses, our guest wrote the book, Profit Hacking.
It’s a great book that really breaks down the formula for growing your business. If you feel like you’re spinning your wheels sometimes, or feel like you need some direction when it comes to increasing profit, Steve is going to help us out here.
Enjoy the show, happy holidays, and we’ll be back after the new year to kick off 2015.
When I think of starting a new year, I always flash back to the eve of 2000. On the verge of not only a new year, but also a new decade and a brand new century, I was open to whatever came my way. With rumors of the potential tech crash of Y2K, who knew if the world was ending or just getting started?
Fast forward 15 years and not much has changed. We still don’t know what the future holds or where life will take us. But, if you’re like me, you probably want some control over 2015, especially when it comes to your business. We all have goals and expectations, but how will we accomplish those goals? Better yet, how will you completely smash these goals and achieve more than you ever thought possible?
In 2014, I was honored to have interviewed some of the best business minds and super-star sales experts alive today. I’ve taken a look at the advice that they’ve provided, sorted through it all, and have put together a 5 part series that will take you from finding clarity to business success. This series is a great primer for your upcoming year.
This series is designed to make sure you absolutely smash those business goals in 2015!
This isn’t your typical goal setting post. I assume you have that part taken care of already. If you don’t, I’ve been absolutely loving some of the shows that Lewis Howes over at The School of Greatness is putting out. You’ll find some great goal setting episodes there. But, if you’ve set your goals and are ready to move your business forward, I absolutely recommend this series. The guests were all incredible and they are all absolutely genius in their own way.
Check out the episodes below. I recommend following them in order, but if you prefer to jump around, that’ll work too. Enjoy!
Clarity is also the first step in creating any message. If you have a business, you’re sending a message out to the world. Decide what that is so you can communicate effectively. Terry Wildemann will rock your socks with all of her great advice.
Once you’re clear, you can start to craft your brand story. How do you want the world to see you? Nicole Lundy gives great tips for creating a brand story that really reaches your audience so they’re more willing to work with you. Get this one step right and the rest of your marketing efforts will become much easier (and more effective).
Susan Leahy talks about effective communication and how we can use it in our businesses and lives to accomplish big things. This is the next step to accomplishing your major goals in 2015.
Now you’re ready. Now you can do what you love and be successful at it. Carolyn Herfurth gives great advice for supporting the business and life that you want – this episode even comes with a cheat sheet so you can get to work applying the knowledge right away.
Finally, make sure your business is successful in any market. The business genius, Bob Burg, lays out the formula that you can use in any market to turn customers into your biggest fans.
Did you enjoy this series? If you did, share it with a friend! They’ll thank you, and so will I 🙂
Also, leave a comment below. I’d love to know how you plan to use the advice in your business in 2015.
